After completing RUBIX, I revisited one of Aurora Dream’s foundational tracks, “Parallel Colors,” with the intention of giving it a fresh perspective. This led to the creation of “Parallel Beats,” a reimagining that blends the original guitar layers with trap and lo-fi production elements, resulting in a sound that feels both familiar and entirely new.
The track features collaborations with KEYAN, Jake Howsam Lowe (Plini), and Charles Caswell (Berried Alive), each bringing their own distinctive style to the project. “Parallel Beats” merges chill-pop, lo-fi, and modern trap influences with intricate guitar work, highlighting the creative range of everyone involved. Mixed and mastered by Moises D’ Bello, the single was released in 2023 and quickly connected with listeners, surpassing 15,000 streams in under a year. The collaborative energy and experimental approach helped establish this release as one of Aurora Dream’s standout singles.
